Employees/customers/visitors/students stand 1 to 6 feet away from the terminal and quickly (less than a second) get scanned one by one.
When an elevated skin temperature of 38 degrees Celsius (possible fever; COVID-19 symptom) is detected the terminal creates a LOCAL ALERT! The visitor will be directed to see a supervisor for a secondary screen. If needed they can be refused entry and seek medical attention.
